About me
My name is Elizabeth "Beth" Higginbotham. I am currently finishing my 15th year in education. I graduated from Virginia Tech in 2004 with a Bachelor's degree in Music Education. I'm currently teaching at Grafton Middle School as a choral music educator earning accolades such as "Superior" ratings at assessment, "grand champion" at competitions, YCSD apple award, and Grafton Middle School Teacher of the Year in 2017.
I returned to the classroom as a student in the fall of 2019 to study School Counseling. I graduated with honors in May of 2021 with a Master's of Education in School Counseling from Southeastern Oklahoma State University.
In addition to the training from VT and SE, I completed my school counseling internship with Stephanie Coble at Grafton Middle School as well as 8 additional American School Counselor Association (ASCA) University Specialist Trainings.
